Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Sabah, in the Federation of Malaysia. The city lies on a plain of the northwest coast of the island of Borneo, and overlooks the China Sea. It is a modern and rather beautiful city that offers all sorts of activities. The tourism business is developing, but it is always great to go with family, friends or lovers!
Throughout the year it is hot and humid, with more rainfall between August and November. Good number of streets or squares carries the names of the ancient names of the city, such as Api-Api Centre and Jalan Singgah Mata. The etymology of the current name remains unclear but it could mean “revered city of the dead”. Tourism is developing; there are more activities and tourist structures competing with imagination to please you. Between golf, beach, spa or Court of windsurfing, there is something for everyone!
