Belum & Temenggor Lake

In the North of Temenggor lake, in the North of Perak state, is a vast zone of virgin forest known as the forest reserve of Belum.

The region is one of biggest intact forest reserves of the Malaysian peninsula. The presence of species of big mammals such as the elephants, rhinoceros, the tapirs and the tigers makes Belum a very particular place. This forest includes an immense wealth in terms of flora and fauna and a large area of the unexplored resteencore zone and undistributed by man.

Various tour operators offer from now guided tours in certain zones of the reserve and are able to make all arrangments in order to obtain the necessary permissions, to plan the means of road and river transportation as well as provinding accommodation which could include camping.
